Daily maintenance and management of valves
In order for the plant to be continuously and normally operated for a long period of time, all equipment and equipment must be regularly maintained and strictly managed. The valve connects these devices and devices to each other
To play an indispensable part of its control performance, therefore, should consider comprehensive maintenance and management issues. Prevention of failures and early treatment, prevention of accidents before they occur, to avoid accidental interruption of equipment operations or job interruptions, in the continuous operation of the production site, to carry out regular maintenance and inspection of its equipment and devices to pay a considerable fee and Manpower.
Valve maintenance during transit
Damage to the hand wheel of the valve, bending of the valve stem, breakage of the bracket, damage of the flange sealing surface, and damage of the gray cast iron valve, a considerable part of which occurred in the valve transportation process, caused the above-mentioned damage, mainly due to transportation personnel The basic common sense is not understood and caused by rough loading and unloading operations.
Before transporting the valve, ropes, lifting equipment, and transportation tools should be prepared. Check the valve packaging, packaging damage should be repaired, can not be afraid of trouble, there can be no luck mental packaging to meet the standard requirements, not allowed to easily rotate the sealed valve handwheel valve should be in a fully closed state, to prevent accidental opening The valve should be wiped clean after the sealing surface close tight, should close the import and export channels. The transmission should be packaged and transported with the valve as a whole or separately, depending on the assembly.
When the valve is lifted, the rope should be fastened to the flange or bracket. Do not tie it to the handwheel or valve stem. The valve should be lifted lightly and gently. Do not bump it. Keep it stable. Placement should stand upright or obliquely with the stem up. Loosely placed valves should be secured with ropes or fastened with pads to avoid collisions during transport. When loading and unloading valves by hand, it is not allowed to throw the valve down from the vehicle, nor should it be allowed to move from the ground to the vehicle during the handling process. It should be arranged in sequence and stacked. Valve transport, love to paint, nameplate and flange sealing surface do not allow dragging the valve on the ground, but also does not allow the valve inlet and outlet sealing surface to move. Valves that are not temporarily installed at the construction site should not be unpacked. They should be placed in a safe place and should be protected from rain and dust.
Valve maintenance
After the valve is transported into the warehouse, the custodian shall go through the warehousing procedures in time, which is beneficial to the inspection and storage of the valve. The custodian should carefully check the model specifications of the valve, check the quality of the appearance of the valve, and assist the inspector in the strength test and sealability test of the valve before entering the warehouse. Valves that meet the acceptance criteria may go through the formalities for warehousing; unqualified ones shall also be properly kept and shall be handled by the relevant departments.
For the valve of the human body, we must carefully wipe and clean the accumulated water and dirt on the valve during transportation. The rust-proof surface, stem and sealing surface should be coated with a layer of anti-rust agent or be coated with a layer of anti-rust. The rusted paper is protected; the entrance and exit passages of the valve are closed with plastic cover or wax paper to prevent dirt from entering.
Valves in inventory should be consistent with accounts, classified, placed neatly, labels are clear, easy to recognize, small valves should be discharged in accordance with model specifications and size order; large valves can be discharged on the warehouse floor, according to model specifications Pieces placed. The valve should be placed upright. The flange sealing surface must not be in contact with the ground. It is not allowed to stack together. Valves for extra large valves and temporarily inaccessible warehouses should also be placed in dry and ventilated places in accordance with the type and size. Valve sealing surfaces should be protected by oil. Channels should be sealed. No packing in the stuffing box to prevent rain from entering the valve. Inside, should be coated with butter, etc., grease sealed stuffing mouth, and covered with oil felt or tarpaulin and other items, it is best to take a temporary shelter to protect.
In order to keep the valve in storage in good condition, in addition to the need for dry ventilation, clean and dust-free warehouses, there should also be advanced and scientific management systems for all custodial valves, which should be regularly maintained and inspected, generally from the date of delivery. After 18 months, pressure test should be repeated.
For long-term unused valves, if asbestos packing is used, asbestos packing should be removed from the stuffing box to prevent electrochemical corrosion and damage to the valve stem. For unfilled valves, the manufacturer is generally equipped with spare packing and the custodian should keep it properly. For non-metallic sealing materials, special attention should be paid to the aging period, so that the first-in, first-out.
Damaged, missing valve parts, such as handwheels, handles, scales, etc., during the handling process should be promptly filled and must not be missing.
Rust inhibitors and lubricants that exceed the specified period of use should be periodically replaced or added as required.
